Lanten Artisan Residency & Demonstration

ABOUT THE RESIDENCY –

Lanten artisans from Luang Namtha Province, northern Laos will be working with TAEC’s handicrafts development team to help them develop more market-oriented products, increase their sales, and generate more income for the women of their community.

The artisans will be working closely with our team on the museum patio and visitors are welcome to watch and ask questions about the crafts they are creating – highlighting their organic cotton, natural plant dyes, and their meticulous traditional embroidery. A truly unique experience!

This is all part of TAEC’s programme to support sustainable livelihoods for ethnic minority women. As always, 50% of our shop income goes directly back to our artisans. Learn more at www.taeclaos.org.
