Light Festival Boat Making Event

Join us for TAEC’s most popular annual event!

Learn to make your own eco-friendly kratong (boat of light) for the Lai Heua Fai Festival. This is a wonderful cultural activity for families and visitors of all ages.

TAEC team members will be on hand to show you how to create your boat using natural materials such as banana tree trunks, leaves, flowers, incense, and candles. They will also explain the meaning behind this special festival and how to launch your boat into the Mekong on the evening of Tuesday, 11 October.

This event is included with your museum entry ticket of 25,000kip for Adults and kids under 12 are free.

Drop in between 10am-12pm.
