Make your own eco-friendly kratong for the Light Festival!

TAEC’s most popular annual event!

Learn to make your own eco-friendly kratong (boat of light) for the Lai Heua Fai Festival. This is a wonderful cultural activity for families and visitors of all ages.

TAEC staff members will be on hand to show you how to create your boat using natural materials such as banana tree trunks, leaves, flowers, incense, and candles. They will also explain the meaning behind this special festival and how to launch your boat into the Mekong.

This is a free event included with your museum entry ticket of 25,000 kip. Drop in anytime between 10am-4pm.
